Alex Banks

Alex Banks is Assistant General Manager of 1540 Broadway, a 900,000-square-foot Class A office tower in Times Square managed by GFP Real Estate. In this role, he works alongside the building management team to oversee daily operations, tenant relations, budgeting, vendor management, capital projects, and building services, helping to ensure a best-in-class experience for tenants and visitors.

With more than 10 years of commercial property management experience and nearly a decade of security and fire life safety leadership at the property, Alex brings a comprehensive and hands-on approach to building operations. His responsibilities span financial reporting, leasing coordination, vendor management, and oversight of building services, including maintenance, security, and janitorial operations.

Throughout his career, Alex has played a key role in executing major capital improvement projects, including multimillion-dollar renovations and infrastructure upgrades, while supporting the preparation and management of operating budgets exceeding $40 million annually. He works closely with ownership, tenants, and service providers to enhance operational performance and maintain the property's high standards.

Alex began his career in security management, where he led teams, developed emergency preparedness plans, and conducted fire life safety training and drills. He is currently pursuing the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation through BOMI International.
